Chemistry

          Department of Chemistry under the Faculty of Science was established in 1987 with the bachelor program in chemistry. Graduate programs started in 2001, with a master program in Chemistry, master program in Industrial Chemistry began in 2006, with the doctoral program in Chemistry starting in 2007. Chemistry graduates have the ability to work in science, as well as other fields such as; education, engineering, food industry, healthcare industry, agricultural industry, even other non-related fields. 

          Outstanding in both teaching and research, with knowledgeable lecturers supporting students to gain a wide range of new experiences and skills such as the opportunity to do research abroad in both Asia and Europe, in countries such as Japan, Taiwan, Australia, Germany and United Kingdom. Research in the department of Chemistry covers a wide range of areas under the chemistry umbrella, including analytical chemistry, industrial chemistry, material science and organic chemistry, etc.  The department also has award-winning research and innovation at national and international level, with multiple research published each year in the highest quality journals, with many papers including international collaboration.  These projects have been publicized in various media outlets, as well as receiving interest from both the public and private sectors for commercialization.

หลักสูตรมีความพร้อมในการเผยแพร่คุณภาพและมาตรฐานตามประกาศกระทรวงศึกษาธิการเรื่องมาตรฐานคุณวุฒิระดับปริญญาตรี สาขาวิทยาศาสตร์และคณิตศาสตร์ พ.ศ. 2554 ในปีการศึกษา 2562

อาชีพที่สามารถประกอบได้หลังสำเร็จการศึกษา ความต้องการของนักเคมีหรือนักวิจัยเคมีมีค่อนข้างสูง โดยบัณฑิตสาขาวิชาเคมีสามารถประกอบอาชีพได้หลากหลายประเภท เช่น นักวิจัยในห้องปฏิบัติการระดับชาติ นักวิจัยและพัฒนาโรงงานอุตสาหกรรม ผู้ตรวจสอบควบคุมคุณภาพโรงงาน ผู้เชี่ยวชาญในกองพิสูจน์หลักฐาน อาชีพทางวิชาการ อาจารย์ ครู นอกจากนี้ยังอาจศึกษาต่อในระดับสูง เช่น วิศวกรรมเคมี ปิโตรเคมี วัสดุศาสตร์ เภสัชเคมีและวิทยาศาสตร์เครื่องสำอางเป็นต้น
